Hans J. Rasmussen
President, Chief Executive Officer & Director
Mr. Rasmussen has over 28 years of professional experience in the mining industry as a geophysicist / geologist. He was appointed President of Colombia Crest Gold Corp. (formerly Eaglecrest Explorations Ltd.) in January 2007, adding to his previous title of Chief Operating Officer and member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Rasmussen has held senior positions with mining exploration companies in North and South America and worked as a consultant with clients that included Teck Cominco Ltd., Quadra Mining Ltd. and Mansfield Minerals Inc. His experience includes conducting and managing all geological and geophysical aspects of exploration, commercial transactions and investor relations. His prior employment included four years with Newmont Exploration Ltd., 12 years with the Kennecott Exploration / Rio Tinto group, including three years as Country Manager of Argentina and Bolivia. Most recently, Mr. Rasmussen was Chief Geophysicist with White Knight Resources. Mr. Rasmussen is an active member of the Society of Exploration Geologists, Northwest Mining Association and the Geologic Society of Nevada. He graduated with a Master of Science from the University of Utah, and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in geology and physics from Southern Oregon State College. Mr. Rasmussen is also a Director of Pachamama Resources Ltd., StoneShield Capital Corp., and Golden Phoenix Minerals, Inc.
Carl B. Hansen
Chairman of the Board of Directors
Mr. Hansen is currently the President and CEO of Atacama Pacific Gold Corporation with exploration activities in Chile. Prior to that, from December 2003 to January 2009, Hansen was Co-Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Andina Minerals Inc., a public company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (ADM). A Geologist with over 20 years of international experience in the exploration and mining industry, his career has encompassed various exploration, operational and head office positions with both junior exploration and senior mining companies including INCO, TVX Gold, and Kinross. He is also a director of Solfotara Mining Corporation and a number of private resource and technology companies. Mr. Hansen graduated with a B.Sc. (Hon) from Laurentian University, Sudbury, Ontario.
Bill Jung
Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary
Mr. Jung became the Chief Financial Officer of Colombia Crest Gold Corp. (formerly Eaglecrest Explorations Ltd.) in October 2003 and has over 25 years experience in the areas of finance and business with a major international chartered accounting firm and a TSX Venture Exchange company.
Walter Lienhard
Vice President Exploration
Mr. Lienhard has more than 25 years of mining experience with Bear Creek Mining Company and Kennecott Exploration. In his previous positions, Mr. Lienhard was involved in all phases of exploration in Latin America, including project and country management with Kennecott and junior exploration companies. He received a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Arizona in 1976.
Gonzalo Lemuz
Country Manager, Colombia
Mr. Lemuz is a Geologist (B.Sc.) and has 20 years of General Management, Exploration Management and Geological experience with LatinGold Ltd., AngloGold-Ashanti and various other junior and major exploration companies. Mr. Lemuz began his career with Newmont in Bolivia and now resides in Lima, Peru. Mr. Lemuz remains an active member of the Bolivian Geological Society, Mining Society of Bolivia and Mining Society of Peru.
Carlos Moncayo
Exploration Manager, Colombia
Mr. Moncayo is a Geologist (M.Sc. Mining Engineering) and has almost 20 years of Exploration Management and Geological experience most extensively for Gold Fields South Africa all over South America, as well as for Iamgold, Mercer Gold, Andean Gold, Ascendant Copper and Ascendant Explorations, and various other junior exploration companies. Carlos began his career with Gold Fields in Ecuador, where he still resides.
Dr. Richard Jemielita
Technical Consultant, Qualified Person, Colombia
Dr. Jemielita has 20 years of experience in the Andes Mountains from Patagonia to Colombia exploring for gold deposits of all types. Dr. Jemielita has been contracted by multinational mining companies worldwide, including AngloGold-Ashanti, Barrick, BHP Billiton, RIO, etc. especially Latin America, to undertake prospect and submittal evaluations, regional-scale targeting and project generation and staff mentoring on a range of gold, base metals and other deposit types. He is particularly familiar with gold and base metals deposits in Andean/Cordilleran and Archaean shield terrains, especially low, intermediate and high sulphidation epithermal gold-silver, porphyry copper/gold/molybdenum and orogenic/shear zone-hosted lode gold deposits. Dr. Jemielita is author of numerous unpublished company reports, geological survey reports, and papers published in international peer reviewed scientific journals and presentations at professional conferences. He has extensive experience and contacts within the mining industry, geological surveys and research institutions worldwide and has worked in North, South and Central America, Australasia, Europe and North Africa. Dr. Jemielita received a B.Sc. in Geology and Mineralogy in 1982 and his Ph.D. in Geology in 1987, both from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, U.K.
Francisco Ramos
Senior Geologist
Mr. Ramos joined Eaglecrest on February 1 2008 as Resource Specialist and Computer Analyst. Mr. Ramos has 10 years experience in Argentina and Nevada with all aspects of database management and computer skills, and most importantly with multiple resource calculations for companies such as Gryphon Gold Corp, Midway Gold Corp and Golden Phoenix Minerals Inc. Mr. Ramos received his B.Sc. in Computer, Applications for Metals Exploration and Mining from the University of Salta, Salta, Argentina, in 1996.
Thomas Pladsen
Director, Chairman Audit and Compensation Committees
Mr. Pladsen has extensive experience in corporate finance and financial reporting for public and private companies. Mr. Pladsen received his Chartered Accountant designation with KPMG LLP in Toronto in the mid 1980s and has since held various financial positions with TSX listed, TSX-V listed and private mining and technology companies. These positions include CFO of Katanga Mining Limited from 2004 to 2006, CFO of Andina Minerals Inc. from 2005 to 2008 and CFO of Merc International Minerals Inc. since December 2008. Mr. Pladsen has also done some consulting work for several TSX-V listed junior mining companies. Mr. Pladsen holds a BBA degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, is a director of Merc International Minerals, Northfield Capital Corporation, Hosted Data Transaction Solutions Inc. and White Pine Resources Inc.
Jeff Palmer
Director
Mr. Palmer began his career at Peat Marwick, Mitchell & Company in the late 1970's. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.Sc. in Accounting and is a certified public accountant in the state of California. Mr. Palmer has 30 years of extensive experience in finance; specializing in cash management and investment planning, and tax planning. Palmer provides controllership to business clients and business management services to high net worth persons including actors, directors and producers in the entertainment business. He has been a committed investor in Colombia Crest Gold Corp. (formerly Eaglecrest Explorations Ltd.) for seven years.
Chris McKellar
Director
Mr. McKellar is President of Capella, a real estate development company based in San Diego California. His developments have been constructed primarily in San Diego, Orange County, Reno and Sacramento. In March of 2009, Mr. McKellar established LightStream, L.P., a company manufacturing a product consisting of ultraviolet cured resin reinforced with fiberglass, to reline large diameter sewer pipes in need of rehabilitation or replacement. His current clients are underground contractors in the U.S., Canada and Chile, working for municipalities and public utilities. Mr. McKellar serves on the boards of The Bishop's School, the Neurosciences Institute, Scripps Institute of Oceanography (Director's Cabinet) and Pastors to Prisoners. He is a member of the Coastal San Diego chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
